Kogi indigene appointed Rector of Ilaro Fed Poly

The Federal Government has appointed Kogi-born Mr Olanrewaju Olusegun Aluko as rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro for a four-year term beginning Friday, September 26, 2014.

The appointment makes him the fifth rector of the institution.

Aluko holds a BSc in Architecture (1982) and an MSc in the same discipline from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, (1985). He is currently an Environmental Management doctoral student at the Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The institution’s deputy registrar Public Relations Reverend Lasunkanmi Bolaji in a statement said President Goodluck Jonathan, in the appointment letter signed by the Minister of Education Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, urged the new rector to ensure the development of the institution and to bring glory to it.

Aluko, who hails from Mopa in Mopa Amuro Local Government Area of Kogi State was born May 13th, 1960 and holds several professional qualifications, as well as international and national awards.
