The legacy groups that worked for the successful electoral triumph of Captain Idris Ichalla Wada in the 2011 governorship election in Kogi State were brought together under the umbrella of Kogi Transformation Network (KOTRAN) in Lokoja.
Under
the new network, KOTRAN also absorbed new Non-governmental Organisations
(NGOs), Community Based Organisations (CBOs), Artisan Groups and Professionals
who are committed to being ambassadors of the transformation strides of His
Excellency, Governor Idris Wada. The network also welcomed new members who were
hitherto members of opposition All Progressive Congress (APC) into the
transformation train.
The
convener, Alhaji Haliru Abdul, in his remarks, asserted that KOTRAN is a
networking vehicle that would harmonise existing NGOs and interest groups into a
big unified body that will support good governance and the transformation
agenda of Governor Idris Wada.
