NFF troubles continue as Chris Giwa faction resume amidst stay of execution order

A faction of Nigeria Football Federation led by Chris Giwa has resumed office at the Glass House in Abuja after Thursday's verdict by the Jos court which ruled to annul the election of Amaju Pinnick.
The group quickly moved to annul all actions carried out by the Pinnick-led board including the sack of coach Stephen Keshi. It also appointed several officials into different committees.
While the Pinnick-led board has filed for a stay of execution, the trouble in Nigerian football continues to fester ahead of next month's crunch Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Congo and South Africa.
While the rigmarole continues, Fifa is waiting in the shadows to slam another ban on Nigerian football. This time it would be for the longterm.
Meanwhile, the case will be heard by the court on Wednesday as Nigeria tries to avoid another Fifa ban which could mean failure to defend the African title next year
The Amaju Pinnick-led executive board has filed a Stay of Execution at the Federal High Court, Jos Judicial Division over the court’s ruling of Thursday, 23rd October setting aside the elections of 30th September, 2014, which brought the body to office.
In a statement by NFF media officer Ademola Olajire, the court has set Wednesday, 29th October for hearing of the Stay of Execution.
