Oyo State-born pop diva,
Seun Oni otherwise called ‘Saeon’ is currently not happy with Wizkid. The
singer, who has a song titled ‘Boogie down’ featuring Wizkid apparently paid
Wizkid a whopping sum of N1.5million to get the Star boy on the song and video.
Despite the money paid however, she’s pissed with the fact that Wizkid couldn’t
even acknowledge her by posting something about the song on his timeline and
when she tweeted at him, he refused to do as little as retweet it. Expressing her
anger, Saeon shared a picture on her Instagram handle that reads: ‘Folks be
like I never charge artistes for features, but I’m 1.5m short and I couldn’t
even get a retweet, anyway it’s turn by turn’. When contacted by NET, Saeon
declined to comment on the issue saying: ‘It’s sad but I’ll rather not talk
about it’. Sources from Saeon’s camp told NET that ‘Wizkid has not been
responding well to Saeon, he doesn’t even pick her calls and she’s really angry
about it despite all the money he was paid for the song.’ In July 2014, Saeon
became the first artiste to be signed to Baseline Music led by Howie T. The
singer officially dropped her EP titled ‘I AM SAEON – THE EP’ today. The
Extended Play is a body of works that gives a true depiction of Saeon’s alluring
persona and unique song writing style while also engaging listeners in its
melodic array and perfect delivery. In her words: ‘I am extremely excited about
this project , I AM SAEON encompasses what and who i truly am.I hope many can
relate to me through this body of work. I had an amazing time working with OF A
KIND Creatives in order to tell a story through each photo and am delighted to
present them to you.’ The EP is highlighted by the new single produced by Sarz,
Dogado, which is currently enjoying radio airplay and is steadily finding its
way up music charts across country. Other songs on the EP include ‘It wont
stop’, ‘Friends with benefits’ and ‘Awada erekere’....
