KSU VC to leave office August

Having completed one of the most thorny tenures in the history of Kogi State University Vice Chancellorship, Professor Hassan Isah will leave his position as the head of the institution in few months.

This was disclosed in a rare interview with this blog by Professor Isah himself today.

He said the institution has maintained its high position in the country's universities ranking, debunking rumours making the rounds about the status of the universit .

He described leadership as one of the most difficult things in life, hence his non concerns about the falsehoods being peddled by a section of the public about his stewardship.

Prof Isah who said his tenure has had tremendous achievements in both human and physical resources of the institution called on everyone related to the university to be proud of the status of the institution.

In his words: "I am not sure anyone with good knowledge of the status of the university would have any reasons to join in the morky campaigns being spearheaded by women people.

"It is funny that some people can just suit down and come up with false information just to discredit my person not knowing that they are actually doing harms to the image of the university.

"From all indications, Kogi State University has improved in all facets since my assumption of office. Some of the areas we have improved academic and even nonacademic.

"Staff welfare is being taken care of, so also is the rebuilding of infrastructure. If you go round the university, you'll see alot of projects going on. So, I don't know where those who hold contrary views are getting their in formation from."

Prof Isah therefore assured parents and guardians that the university is in safe hands and also in a healthy rating position among comity of universities in the country.
