NASU in KSU laughs off resumption news

The Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) in Kogi State University, Anyigba, has laughed off the news of the school’s resumption, wondering how the story can be possible when they have not had any fruitful engagement with either government or management.
The chairman of NASU, Comrade Yusuf Audu who stated this in a chat with our blog, said there was no way it would be possible for the resumption to take place smoothly when they (NASU) are still on strike.
He asked: “Some students keep saying the strike has been called off, but by who and how? We, the members of NASU are still on strike and don’t when it would be called off, so, if either management or government tells them to resume, who would prepare their lecture halls? Who powers their powers source of their lecture halls? For those who would go to the clinic, who would attend to them there?”
He therefore called on management and government to realize the importance of their union and attend to them or else, they would be deceiving the students into wasting their time and money into coming to school only to find out that they have wasted their time and resources.
“We are amused by the shabby treatment we are getting from government despite the importance of our union members. They don’t know that nothing can happen academically without the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU).”
